Myöhemmin Chrysler Neoniin suunniteltiin myös 2-tahtista 1.5L/3-sylinteristä moottoria jonka teho oli 95hv. Moottorin oli määrä tulla nokalle mallivuodelle 1997 ja tavoitteena myydä/valmistaa 25000 autoa vuodessa (USA).
